Who should introduce you to your rights and duties and when?

It is important that you know your rights and duties when you are detained and brought to the remand prison. Therefore, the prison administration must introduce you to your rights and duties without delay, including to whom you can submit your complaints. This information must be submitted to you in writing and must also be posted on the walls in each of the prison cells so you can read it at any time.

The prison administration has to explain your rights and duties in a language that you understand, and if necessary, invite a translator.

You can also read about your rights and duties when detained in the Law on Pre-Trial Detention.
