What liability applies if a person breaches the obligations of an emergency barring order?

The police are obliged to ensure that persons who pose a risk of violence comply with the obligations set out in the emergency barring order. People who know that the obligations established by the order are being violated must report this to the police immediately by calling the Emergency Line on 112.

The Code of Administrative Offenses stipulates that non-compliance with the obligations of the order entails a fine. The amount of the fine may be higher if the violations are repeated.

Violations of the order may also be subject to an administrative sanction – an obligation to participate in alcoholism and drug addiction prevention, early intervention, health care, resocialization, improving communication with children, changing violent behavior, or other programs (courses).
